Only use labels specially designed for use in inkjet printers. An inkjet printer has very different feed and printing processes to that of a laser printer. The main difference is that inkjet printers release jets of wet ink onto paper, whereas the toner within a laser printer is dry. For this reason, Avery Inkjet Labels are manufactured with special coated paper, which is designed to absorb ink quickly, to avoid smudging of text.
